[00:00:01] Being stuck is not a nice feeling, especially if it goes on for any length of time.
[00:00:10] The word itself, stuck, comes from stick, which means to pierce or stab and to remain fastened. So there is this very real sense of being held in place that sort of stops you from moving forward, from getting anything done.
[00:00:29] It's really hard, once you do become stuck, to get yourself unstuck. Some of the reasons for getting stuck can be trauma.
[00:00:41] It can be your beliefs and your limiting beliefs.
[00:00:47] It just could be that you need a shift in perspective.
[00:00:53] But either way, once you become stuck, it's really hard to see a way out. And one of the reasons for this is our thoughts generate emotions. And if they're not going anywhere, they tend to become a loop. So instead of feeling and being aware of new situations and new perspectives, all we become aware of is the emotion that we've generated by our thoughts. And then that becomes our reality. So it becomes this loop. So we think, oh, I'm not good enough. And that generates a certain emotion. And because that emotion's not going anywhere, because it's stuck, it becomes one. It becomes something that we feel. We can get stuck in anger.
[00:01:43] And so we. Yeah, we have these angry thoughts which generate these angry emotions.
[00:01:50] And those angry emotions become our reality, and they taint everything that comes into us. I talk a lot about electromagnetism now. Don't worry about the science behind it. It's very simple. It's anything that can generate electricity. So you have what's called a conduit. So it's just like a tube or a pipe or something that energy can run through. And that includes. So we are conduits. We are. We have the ability to allow energy to move through us and to use that energy. Now, that energy moving through that conduit or that person will keep to the human side of it. So any energy that runs through us creates a magnetic field. Take the magnetism away from it. Don't worry about that. This is just about understanding. Being able to take a situation that you're in and liken it to something else so that we can get. Make sense of it, find some meaning, and then use that understanding to change the way we're thinking, acting, feeling, or doing things. Okay, so this idea of energy running through us, that's stuck and it's generating a field. So our thoughts are generating this emotional field.
[00:03:15] Normally that's meant to go somewhere. So emotion, energy in motion. But if it's just revolving around and we just keep picking up on the same thing, we're just we keep that field in place and it becomes a like a self fulfilling prophecy. It becomes our world. Now here's the dealio.
[00:03:37] Electromagnetism. So running energy through a conduit that creates a field, it works both ways.
[00:03:45] So if you generate a field and put a conduit through the middle of that field, it will induce, it will create movement of energy through that conduit, through that pipe.
[00:04:01] We can now apply that understanding and that meaning to our own situation.
[00:04:08] So if we create a peaceful field, then we are the conduit. So that will induce, that will draw energy through us that is peaceful. And that field will create peaceful flows which will create peaceful impulses, which a way to think about that is thoughts. Okay? So like I said, it works both ways. If we have specific thoughts, they generate these flows and these fields which become our emotional state. And normally we try and direct them somewhere with an intention. Intention means to stretch towards. So they're going somewhere, they're moving somewhere. But when we get stuck now that doesn't happen.
[00:04:59] So there's two ways we can go about it. We can start to create movement, which I 100% suggest that you do, and start to even physically moving during the day. Okay? It doesn't matter. You've got to get some kind of movement and movement is movement. So if you're moving in one area of your life, it kind of, it bleeds into other areas of your life as well. It's not going to fix everything, okay? It's just these are little actions and things that you can do to help yourself get unstuck.
[00:05:35] One of the most powerful things I've ever found is the neutral state for helping people to get unstuck. Because one of the things with the, one of the reasons you get stuck in the first place is there's a charge attached to our thoughts and to our emotions, okay? And this charge has to be removed, it has to be dissipated or you have to get rid of the charge. Okay? So there's two aspects to dynamic self awareness. That is getting rid of and getting ready for and what we're trying to get rid of. And this comes under the banner of self healing. What we're trying to get rid of is this charge, this held charge, this stuck energy.
[00:06:23] Once we can get rid of that and take it to zero and return to neutral, we then have a much better chance of engaging with change.
[00:06:33] If we try to enact change in our lives without getting rid of this energy, without discharging this stuck or held energy, we're going to carry that energy into whatever we do next, and this is why we get stuck is because let's just say we feeling a bit down on ourselves. Okay? We lack confidence. Forget about the name of it, just experience the energy, the feeling of it. And so all our thoughts are around this. I don't know, I can't find a way out. I'm not good enough. I don't think I can do this. And that just self generates this field. Now, as soon as we go to try, okay? Oh no. Okay, I'm going to try and exercise. So we haven't discharged it. So we're taking that energy into every single activity that we do, even any new activity. Now, is it any wonder that we can't stick to it again? Stick? Okay, we're trying to, we're trying to hold and have a different outcome, but we're using the same identity and the same energy that has kept us in the place that we are now with the neutral state. It's not trying to do anything or achieve anything. We're just trying to get back to zero.
[00:07:50] Now that mightn't seem like a way to move forward. It's not. It's not designed to be a way forward. It's designed as a place to start from. And if we can't start from a neutral space, then it's going to be very hard to succeed. Succeed means to continue. Okay? So if we are stuck in a particular pattern, that pattern is going to continue until we remove the charge from it, remove the energy from it, remove its hold on us. Okay? As soon as you get to a neutral state, you can then start to create a new field. We can then start to create new impulses, new thoughts, new desires, new pathways, new flows. This is all energetics, okay?
[00:08:43] But to get to that point, it's highly beneficial and it's, it's highly necessary to start from scratch in every, Every time, every time you do an action, come back to zero. Every time you engage in an activity, come back to neutral. Every time you have a thought, come back out, back out back. If something affects you, it knocks you back. Come, you know, get rid of the charge and I'll, I'll be showing you ways of doing that within dsa. But for now, just sort of get it into your mind that you always want to come back to the neutral state. And if you are stuck in any kind of thought or feeling or sense of self, then bringing yourself back to the neutral state is going to be your number one goal. Okay? Later on I'll show you how to get rid of that charge for good. But for now, all you need to focus on is getting yourself unstuck by coming back into the neutral state. And you can think of this in terms of if you had a ruler and you place yourself at zero and you kind of. And you can do this right now or even just put your finger on the desk at zero, and you sort of get a sense of how much charge there is on the state that you're in right now. And it could be forwards or it could even be backwards. It could be holding you back. Okay? So you get this sense of, like a depressed state or a state of hopelessness as this kind of thing that's holding you back. It's sort of a depression, and it's. It's behind you. It's a sense of dragging. You're sort of stuck back in the past with something. Or you could get these outbursts. So there's these anger or frustration, and they're sort of throwing out, and you just keep getting pulled out into this, you know, place that's outside of yourself and away from yourself. And then you get stuck in these things, and they. They just go round and round and round and round and round, and you can't pull yourself.
[00:10:56] You can't pull yourself out. But if you get a sense of just holding your finger in that space, that neutral space at zero, and then allowing those. That feeling to come back to that. And again, I'm going to show you different ways to do this inside of Basecamp.
[00:11:14] But for now, I just want you to get your mind around this concept of charge and neutral and positive and. And negative and active and receptive states. Okay? It's just. It's very simple.
[00:11:31] As much as we are complicated beings, there are these concepts or models in place. It's part of our. The makeup of our system that you can simplify things down to two or three states. So, you know, off or on in the middle is neutral. Positive or negative in the middle is neutral. All right, so there's these three states. Active, receptive, passive, in the middle. For now, all we're going to do is focus on that middle ground.
